Just started using Fongo World Edition today and wish I'd known it much sooner… It's worth every penny.

Paid the fee but you can’t even log in on the iPhone gives “install latest version “ error like other users stated. Only works half on iPad but does not ring on iPad either ! Terrible for a paid app ! Terrible app development

It says install new version of the app but i have already updated the app still the same.

Everything was fine until I paid from my apple account. Next thing, it says unable to sign you in, please redownload the latest version. Even though I have another account and login that acc. Now I paid for this one as well and after 1 week, it says the same thing. Customer care says redownload which is not the solution. Terrible app. They take your money & no one to help you once you have a problem

This is a scam app, I have e registered on 3 different occasions and I haven’t even called or text anyone and I have been logged out the 3rd time with no plans to refund. They take your money and log you from the app without rendering any service. Stay away from this App once again!!

This app worked great for a few months and then it stopped. The linked number is no longer linked and all calls just go to voicemail. No one gets back to me after many support tickets submitted.

It does not work with Fongo Mobile App (classic accounts from Canada)

My messages are getting truncated don’t receive full messages and my sent messages are also truncated only firs one or two words show up.

I had really been enjoying the use of this app, occasionally messages would show in my notifications but then disappeared in the app which causes a little annoyance and miss communications. Now however, all the functions of messaging have just stopped. Incoming and outgoing calls work but now messages are able to be received or sent. All my requests for assistance throughout my experienced issues (both minor and major) have been ignored and or not addressed. The concept of this app is there, however, the support is lacking!!!

I had read reviews saying you could buy a lifetime ad free version but that’s not true, you have to purchase the app, and then you can choose a phone number, you can’t even text message without buying a text subscription plan, it’s all monthly plans to unlock the basic features of having an app like this, if I wanted to pay for these features I’d get a regular cellular plan. Maybe this app used to be good but it is not worth it any longer.. if it was a one time fee for lifetime text and calling in North America or at least a certain amount of minutes or texts per month or have me click a couple of ads or something to get and send texts then sure, but as it stands for a wifi based calling, you may as well just get google voice and forget about this.

Fongo it nice and really help my o line business but must time it just log out unexpectedly

You can be sent 10 messages on this app and just one will be shown to you when you enter the app, fix that crap.

in 2020 they sent Emails to all people who’s using fongo asking i think for doing a payment or using their app daily i’ve been using my fongo phone number since 2017 all my social media and my emails even backup email was linked to that fongo number anyway i woke up to find out that Fongo canceled my account when went to my email i found their email after explaining everything to them they seems don’t care. i’ve spent lots of time on many research paper and hiding my other passwords in one of the cloud folders to explain what i’ve been through in two words “i can similarities to bankrupt bu digital rupt.

This app is all fraud, they let you subscribe and then they block you off, this is the second time they block me off the app without notice, return my money broke people, why would you ripped someone of his hard earned money when you know the number don’t work for long ? The number only works for few days

I have tried so many other “phone” apps for US <-> Canadian calling and Fongo blows them all away. Very simple interface, very low cost, worth buying the ad free for life version for $7. Excellent support, I had a minor issue and they got back to me ASAP with a fix. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Horrible app. People call from all over the world complaining that someone called them from my Fongo number. The phone rings day and night. I also received many calls from scammers. Do not use this app.

I subscribed few days back. I'm not able to receive calls on the number provided by fongo. only outgoing is working. I have approached the customer care 4-5 days back and no body has replied anything till now.

You have to keep running the app on the background in order to receive any incoming calls. Even after doing that, many a times the person who is trying to call cannot reach your number. During the calls, your voice breaks up and people cannot hear you properly. I have a good wifi and network connection, despite that I faced the above issues!

One of the worst paid apps. You can dial the number but your call hangs when it tries to connect and also when you try to end the call. The app also has a feature to listen to voicemail, which hangs the app, when you try to play the message. It says add-free paid version but you still get to see ads, which is very frustrating. Don’t buy it and save yourself some money.

Not working nobody can call me .. massages not coming can’t transfer my number back fully garbage

Displaying ads even after buying the app for $4.99 USD is ridiculous. I totally understand if the app is free, but it’s not.

Note: Recent update of the app, killed call ringing on the phone. Calls no longer ring on the phone. Only get a missed called notification pop-up. When the issue was reported, Fongo fixed it very quickly. Kudos to their team.

Why can’t we receive picture or send picture, picture sending is not good as well it’s should be send like real cell phone... Please fix it

I have a hard time getting connected. I have had other ip phones but I signed up for this service because I needed a number for my business card but unfortunately it has poor service.

I get half of the calls, for the other half i get delayed notifications and of course they go to voicemail. In addition the gui is buggy, for example the top left hamburger menu is not reacting to touch input on iphone 7S ios 11.2 most of the time. Have beta testers before releasing new versions please.

Doesn't work all the time...

No search box for messages. No ability to look at the fongo messages while talking to someone on fongo call. No ability to merge two calls at the same time on fongo. It takes a while to be notified for the voicemails. You miss voicemails. This app keeps getting disconnected in the background, you have to keep checking it. If you watch youtube or a video on FB, this app looses connection and then you meed to reopen and reauthenticate. I love you fongo but please fix it.

I like the whole app and never faced any issue on the audio quality. The app doesn't work on my office wifi. Also, when in call the RED end call button so huge and is corner to corner in the bottom part of the screen that I always have to be careful not to disconnect the call. Can the red button be made smaller to avoid any chance of unwanted disconnection? Best.

Very reliable, very inexpensive way to have a Canadian phone number when living outside the country.

Useless app.

Fongo go Wrongo 20% of time. Getting better slowly over time. 1) I like Fongo. Good app, but it needs improvement as it has bugs with sometimes missing settings for "Show My Caller ID". Importantly, voice mail is not 100% reliable. Just left myself a message from a landline. No message delivered? 2) When dialing my Fongo number from a land line I always get directed to voice mail. How to change so Fongo will ring? 3) No regex to recognize telephone entries in their support form for Fongo phone numbers.

Excellent app

Great for outgoing calls however so many flaws for incoming calls . I'm missing so many calls and the missed calls are not even showing up on the missed call list.

The app works but frequently drops calls. It also generates a lot of error messages whenever you open it, usually concerning authentication. It is ok as a rarely used second number but is not reliable enough for prime time.

I get a job in Canada because of this app, I was working abroad and I added fongo number in my CV, many recruiters called me, if I added international number no one ever would call me. Stable app, clear voice, almost free, voice message. Many thanks for Fongo team for the great app

Just downloaded this app and paid the $5 and can't even get to the registration screen. It just keeps crashing. Please fix this and I will review the app again once I am able to use the functionality.

Not working

I needed a Canadian phone number because my plan charges far too much to call Canada. Also, if you make friends in Canada, they most likely won't get charged calling you on your Fongo number. The interface could be prettier and easier to use. The quality of calls is far better than free calls using FB Messenger. I added the texting plan and it's fantastic. The investment isn't much for a service that works well. I don't mind the ads, but I wish it was free to eliminate them with any Fongo service.
